Mr Louis Tay

Mr Tay is a Senior Manager at Lian Soon Holding Pte Ltd, with extensive experience in building and estate management, as well as overseas residential development. He holds a Bachelor of Building (Hons) in Construction Management & Economics from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic.

 

He was awarded the Efficiency Medal in 1997 in recognition of his high level of merit and efficiency during his tenure with the Public Works Department.

 

A dedicated community leader, Mr Tay has served for over three decades and received multiple National Day Awards: the Public Service Medal (2000), Public Service Star (2005), and Public Service Star (Bar) (2015). He was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2018 and has been a member of the Board of Visiting Justices since 2020, where he contributes to the oversight of prisons and rehabilitation centres.

 

Since 1 July 2018, he has also been a Licensed Solemniser with the Registrar of Marriages.

 

Mr Tay is a long-serving Town Councillor with Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council and was appointed Town Council Secretary in 2021, overseeing strategic and operational matters.

 

He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Bukit Panjang Citizens’ Consultative Committee and Chairman of the Community Sports Network, promoting active lifestyles and community bonding.
